Rethinking Health Care

Fall 2009

Rethinking Health Care   |   Events  |   Speakers  |  Resources

This Fall, the Weissman Center for Leadership and the Liberal Arts focuses on health care. As Congress debates making changes to medical insurance, we consider some larger questions. What kind of health care system should we envision, and how can we bring that about? What are the moral, economic, and political consequences of health care policy? What are the prospects for universal health care? What is the value of health and of medical care? What does justice require? We will bring to campus some exceptional speakers, outspoken leaders and thinkers on this topic, to focus our discussion.

“Of all the forms of inequality,
injustice in health care
is the most shocking and inhumane"

                                              Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
