Content Management System (CMS)

What is CMS?
CMS (Content Management System) is the HTML editor that the College uses to create and maintain Web sites.

Where I go to log into CMS?
Go to the CMS Server;  use Internet Explorer for your Web browser. Note: you will not have access to CMS until you receive training.

When can our department begin to use CMS and get trained?
All official College Web sites will migrate into CMS based on a schedule established by the Web Strategy Team. Departments and offices will be contacted to schedule CMS migration and training. Meanwhile, offices and departments that have not migrated into CMS should continue to maintain and update their Web site in Dreamweaver. Instructions on how to use Dreamweaver will remain available until the migration process is complete.

What about student organizations?
CMS is only available for official College Web sites, which does not include student organizations (except for a small number of department affiliated organizations which have direct official oversight). The supported Web authoring tool for organizations, clubs, and personal sites is Dreamweaver. For more details, please read Policies by Type of Web Site. View the Student Training Registration for Peer2Peer Workshops.
