Outsourcing

There may be times that the College’s technical, design, or editorial resources are not available to assist with Web projects. Offices and departments will consult with the Web Strategy Team to ensure that all available internal resources are utilized before outsourcing. Safety and Risk Management must be consulted before entering into any agreement with a vendor or freelancer.

Responsibility for contracting with freelancers, and payment for their services, rests with the office seeking help.

The Web Strategy Team can provide freelance recommendations, and will work with offices and departments and their vendors to help ensure that the final product complies with College Web policies and supports the mission and goals of the College. The Web Strategy Team can provide guidance on the level of service needed and technologies to be used.

In accordance with our policy against advertising, official College sites may not bear the name or mark of the outsourced developer.
