Introduction to CMS Agenda

C. How to Find Your Content to Edit

1) Browse– to the page as you would in a regular Web browser.

2) Search– by Page Identification Number; open another browser window and browse to the page you want to link to find the Page ID (if it’s the home page, go to: View > Page Source for the page ID number).

D. Contact a CMS Administrator for assistance with:

1) Creating or updating forms.

2) Deleting pages, images, or other assets.

3) Moving navigation items.

4) Adding or customizing new third column features.

5) Image galleries.

2. Text Editor

A. Tool bar key for text editor

B. Paste or edit text

C. Text styles

D. Hyperlink Text

E. Email link

F. Bullet and numbered lists

G. Jump marks/anchors

H. Insert image on a page

I. Link to assets: PDF, Word, or Excel files

J. Tables

OK – saves your changes and settings but closes the editor window.

Cancel – closes the editor window but does not save any changes or settings.

Save – saves your changes and settings but keeps the editor window open. When working on longer pages, or if you need to leave your desk, it is best practice to click save frequently.

3. Release Pages

A. Pages that need to be put on hold – don’t release

B. If you don’t release the page, it won’t publish and others cannot view it in CMS

4.      Publish Pages

A. Publish on-the-fl

B. Full site publishes overnight

5.      Log Off
