The Wild Summer Wind

I feel the wild summer wind

Rushing through my hair,

Breathing its hot breath upon my shoulder

It pushes me back,

Back to a time long ago

A time I’ve tried hard to forget.

I remember that night

The hot night’s breeze

The sweat dripped down your brow.

The silence as the fireflies

Danced and the bats

Flew around our heads.

The blood dripping from

My heart shattered to pieces

Your hands were covered with my soul’s blood.

A beautiful night, a beautiful couple

A soul’s anguish, a heart’s torment

Memories on the wild summer wind.
