The Castle Walked
The castle stood, lost and forlorn
Wondering “Where have all the people gone?”
It stood alone, without company
Unable to break the silence.
It stood, without human warmth,
Cold stone upon cold stone.
Massive construction no help
Against the dangerously glowing landscape.
The castle stood, lost and forlorn,
Waiting for people who would never come.
The castle stood, weathered by wind and rain,
The only sound its stones falling.
The castle stood, till one day,
A strange feeling, a sense of self.
The foundations pulled out of the ground.
The castle walked, looking for those who were not there.
