Because I do not hope for freedom
Because I do not hope
I carry on my life, without dream,
And wait for an end to come.
Overwhelming sorrow trapped behind
False indifference, behind the facade.
Life is meaningless, a game to play
While waiting for a plane to take me away.
Only shadows in my mind, a nightmare
From which Death is the awakening.
Why should I mourn for anything, anyone?
In mourning there is sorrow and I am not sad.
How can I be, when all are shadows and
This is but a dream.
All of reality lies within my mind, and
All of creation is my plaything.
I control everything or nothing.
Does it really matter?
Happiness and sorrow are both fleeting, ephemeral.
Only indifference lasts, and hatred.
Why do I hate thee?
Let me count the ways.
Our lives end and still I count
The universe ends and still I count
Unending counting, beyond Time’s end.
How do I love thee
Let me count the ways.
One, but it sings a song
That fills the universe to overflowing,
Drowns out the hate and brings peace.
Love conquers all.
Open your eyes to the truth
Hear the song that fills us all
And brings me peace.
