GHANA: AN IMF AND WORLD BANK SUCCESS STORY?

Since 1983, Ghana has worked with the IMF and World Bank undertaking Economic Recovery Programs to improve the economic situation in the country. After 17 years of harsh economic reforms on the Ghanaian people, the economy is still recovering and yet these institutions call on other developing African nations to look up to Ghana as an example of success. Is this what one calls success? Poor agricultural sector, health sector and educational sector, with devaluation of currency by day? Are these reforms working for this poor African nation? In my opinion the answer is NO.
