My Part in the P2P Team
I love learning how to use new software and I also love to impart the knowledge I gain to others. As a result, I work as a member of the Peer-to-Peer teaching team. I teach Photoshop basics and dreamweaver basics. I usually have between five to fifteen people in a class. When I am not teaching, I work at the Information Commons help desk and offer assistance to guests on a variety of issues ranging from printing problems to scanning a document.
Editing photos is one of my favorite things to do. I have basic skills in using Photoshop for image manipulation and I will continue to improve my skills in using the software. Web page design is also another interest that I have so I teach basic dreamweaver. I am currently learning how to use php and mysql to create dynamic web applications backed by databases as part of my Computer Science Independent Study and this may be a course that may be offered in the future by the P2P team.
