Global Warming

Global Warming is the increase over time of the average temperature of the
Earth's atmosphere and the Earth's oceans. There has been a rise in average
temperature ever since the late 19th century. Theories about global warming come
from the thought that it is caused by the greenhouse effect. The
greenhouse effect is caused by carbon dioxide generated by human activities. The increase
could also be caused by increases in solar activity but most likely humanity is
to blame.

Global warming is not a problem for only the rich or only the poor. It is a problem for all of humanity. If the world does not do something about it now it could be too late. The problem must be handled on the local, national and global levels. It is humanity's responsibility to protect the environment for us in the present and our future generations.
