The Problem of Global Warming

Due to the emission of greenhouse gases which include naturally occurring gases like carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, ozone, nitrous oxide and other gases, the atmosphere of the earth has been steadily raising in the past century. The concentrations of carbon dioxide have increased to almost 30% since the start of the industrial revolution that begun in the 19th century and overall there has been an increase in all the greenhouse gases. The weather of the earth source is from the sun. The sun of course heats the earth’s surface and consequently the earth give off energy back toward the sun. This is known as the greenhouse effect.

If the nature greenhouse effect did not occur, the temperature of the world would be lower then it actual is. However, because of the over use of greenhouse gases the temperature has increased. Because of the increases, the “heat-trapping” ability of the earth has increased. Therefore, if the release of the gases continues the normal temperature of the planet could eventual grow too high for humanity to survive.
