I also can get money from Amazon.com:
Here are some books that I either liked, or my friends were interested in buying:
Tampopo - recommended by cos, this is one of the few movies he has seen and remembers the title of.
Life is Beautiful, the movie. This is the version with English Subtitles. Too expensive now, but with any luck the price will come down for Christmas time. I absolutely loved this movie, but if you have not seen it, it's best not to read the reviews, just see it. Much better that way.
Sector 7, the Latest book from David Wiesner, one of my favorite Children's Artists. His books are amazing.
Gone Boy by Gregory Gibson. Dec. 14, 1992. Galen Gibson, along with Nacunan, was killed at Simon's Rock. Galen was Gregory's son and this is his book that tries to understand what happened and why.
Ender's Game is a great book. Orson Scott Card does a very good job at writing a story that manages to twist your mind around and hit you at the end.
And Ender's Shadow, the story of Ender's Game told from the perspective of Bean, another child in Ender's Game.
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. Barbara Kingsolver, author of the Bean Trees has written another novel. This novel, Poisonwood Bible, takes place in 1959 in the Belgian Congo. I don't know anything about this novel, but her other novels are good enough to take a risk on this new one.
Hemostasis & Thrombosis, by Thomas G. DeLoughery, M.D. -- And on a totally different note, Everything you ever needed to know about Hemostasis and Thrombosis in a handy format for quick reference.
The Fatal Shore, by Robert Hughes. This book tells the history of the birth of Australia "which came out of the suffereing and brutality of England's infamous convict transportation system" Looks good, I'll let you know after I read it.
John's Wish List - My brother asked me to keep a list of books that he is interested in buying here, feel free to see if there is anything you might be interested in.
Other Book Wish List - It seems
that another list of books appeared in my directory, so it seemed only
fair to link to it here.
