In this corner view, you can start to appreciate the wood floor texturing, as well as the reflections off the ceiling lamp. I also happen to like how the shadows play out on the floor.
The wood planks are not an image map; they are an original texture. I wrote a small randomizer to vary the texture used on each adjacent plank. Not surprisingly, the floor takes the longest part to render.
I'm still not happy with the windows. They were originally going to be gothic arcs, but I ran out of time. The windows in the inlet area also need to be finished with extra trim, moldings, and such.
The dimensions of the room are to scale. I measured everything myself, and had fun climbing on chairs to get the heights!
