The Fundamentals: Testimony to the Truth

The Fundamentals: Testimony to the Truth was a series of twelve pamphlets that were sent around to over three million clergymen and theologians from 1910 to 1915. They set forth the great theological issues of the day from a conservative and Fundamentalist standpoint. Two lawyers from Los Angeles, Lyman and Milton Stewart, sponsored the pamphlets.

The distribution of these pamphlets marks, according to many, the beginning of the modern Fundamentalist movement. This is because they united the conservative with the Fundamentalist ideals, and in so doing also brought together people of both mindsets.
