Announcements:

Wednesdays, 12:20-1:05 p.m. Math/Stat Club meetings, usually in 402 Clapp. 
Pizza and beverages available from noon in 416 Clapp.  All students welcome -- come when you can and leave when you must.

November 18, 12:20 - 1:05 p.m. in 402 Clapp, Milka Doktorova '10 and Faye Stevens '11 will speak. Milka's title is "Formation and dynamics of objective structures of the nanotube group," and Faye's is "Can you hear the shape of a torus?"

December 2, 12:20-1:05 in 402 Clapp, Viveka Borum, Columbia Teacher's College, will speak on "Black women in mathematics: Taking a closer look at diversity in the field."

Math/Stat Club water bottles:  For $7, payable to Laurie Kamins in the department office, you can have your very own Math/Stat Club 19 oz water bottle in transparent blue with white lettering:
