Introduction

Chunggye Stream (ChunggyeChun) is the biggest stream that flows in Seoul, South Korea. Although historically it was a cultural center for Seoul citizens, the stream was covered for over seventy years by industrialization and modernization. In 2005, the stream was finally restored and water now flows in the stream giving a place to rest for the Seoul citizens. This website will examine its history, background, and its original intention. It will also analyze some of the issues that were raised as a result looking at them in political, economic, social, and environmental perspectives.
