Leaders of the two Koreas hug upon arrival of Kim Dae Jung in Pyongyang, N. Korea


On June 13, 2000, South Korean President Kim Dae Jung finally landed in Pyongyang, North Korea for the summit.  The meeting of the two leaders of the peninsula happened for the first time since the Korean War (1950-1953).  After exchanging very warm greetings, conversations were held with the officials from both sides.  Kim Dae Jung and Kim Jong Il discussed many issues, including further interaction between the two Koreas.
