Return to Outside Interests

In 1981, I built a house in the woods. It has had two additions since then. The design idea was to create a house which looked and felt old but had straight walls, good insulation, and was not about to fall down. I achieved the old feeling by using leaded glass windows and carved wooden doors from the College. An alum and friends helped me build the house. I've named it Dove Cottage as the Brits do.

When I built the house we installed solar hot water and a 12 volt photovoltaic battery system. In 2009 we added grid tied photovoltaic panels. See Solar

"Snowy Road" by Becky Darling 603-456-3523
One of the things I have begun to do is to collect original art. This is the way our road feels in the winter.
