miss porter's school!!

this is miss porter's school, where i will be spending the next year of my life, teaching physics.
see the beautiful building in the background? i'll be living across the street. i know, i said i'd be on the third floor, but they moved me. that's okay. i'll have a little less responsibility, which is just fine with me.
feel free to congratulate me now. :-)

lord kelvin this is kelvin. of the kelvin temperature scale. i don't know much about him, but i found this picture on a website that i have forgotten and thus cannot properly cite. i think he looks fantastically grumpy, and his beard is wonderful! that's all, really. did you know that the cosmic microwave background is at 2.728 kelvin? with fluctuations on the order of 18 μK? thanks, Kelvin, for the absolute temperature scale.
