"There's no question but that global warming is a real phenomenon, that it is occurring, and while scientists can't predict where the droughts will occur, where the flooding will occur precisely or when, we know those things will occur. The science is strong there."
--Christie Whitman Administrator EPA- U.S.

"The climate change challenge . . . will not be solved by government. It won't be solved by business. It will be solved when we capture the spirit of Earth Day every day and join it to the dedication of the American people to the future of their families."
-- Carol M. Browner former Administrator EPA- U.S.

What is global warming and what are the controversies surrounding it?  Are there legitimate answers available about it?  What's all the fuss over carbon dioxide—an essential component of the atmosphere?  Is it true that an accumulation of the of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases threaten us with an "environmental doomsday" causing polar ice caps to melt, oceans to rise, wildlife to die, diseasese to spread, and millions of humans to starve?

Global warming is one of the most hot and controversial issues we face today  alarming scientists, environmentalists, and politicians.   While many questions cannot be answered with a great degree of certainty, understanding the issue is crucial to every human being.  This is my motivation and reason for creating this web site.
