Carpe Diem!

Those of you who know me, must also know that I am not a great fan of poetry. I don't hate it, and actually I quite like it when I understand it, but I don't get along with it too well. (Quite like Virginia Woolf, actually.) We don't understand each other.

However, there are just a few poems that I really love. They're mostly various authors, but quite a few of them are carpe diem poems. I've found a few online, at Luminarium, and I thought I'd create a page to link to them, so that you can know what I like and hopefully enjoy it too.

John Donne
"The Flea"
"A Valediction Forbidding Mourning"
"Elegy XX. To His Mistress Going to Bed"
"Holy Sonnet X. Death, Be Not Proud"
"Holy Sonnet XIV. Batter My Heart, Three-Personed God"

Andrew Marvell
"To His Coy Mistress"
