“In the East to waste water is to consume it needlessly or excessively. In the West, to waste water is to not consume it –to let it flow unimpeded and un-diverted down river.”

California has 12,000 major dams more irrigated acreage than any other state and has 2 biggest irrigation projects on earth. California has the Sierra Nevada and the Mojave Desert with a temperate climate. California growing population needs constant new sources of water to sustain itself.
