Toward Free Expression:
2.28 Cross-examining the text ="Mise en question". Collaborative exercise in class with moderators.
As homework students must re-read the story segment of the lesson in the text book, and formulate oral responses. The questions in the "Mise en question" are to be answered orally in class, without text.
2.29 , 2.30 Adapt the story to yourself. Suppose that some characters of the story meet some friends of yours, imagine their dialogue. Imagine also that you and another students are the characters of the story. Keep the conversation going as long as you can.
If you decide to make this a written
exercise, work with a partner. The only rule to be respected is
to use only expressions that you have already learned (unless
you are absolutly sure of the new expression you are introducing).
Above all refrain from concocting an English dialogue and then
trying to translate it into French. This is a complete waste of
your time.
