Butterscotch Filling

1/2 Brown Sugar                            1 Tbs. Margarine
1/4 Cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 Water
 

      Mix the sugar, cornstarch and salt.  Add the water and stir.  Heat until it boils and thickens suddenly.  Remove from heat and briskly stir in one tablespoon of margarine.  Let cool and spread between layers of cake or eat with fingers.  Yum!!
