Although there have been many programs created to combat the problems associated with refugee movements, the fact remains that sometimes there just isn't enough money to go around. Some of the basic needs of refugees dwelling in Kenyan refugee camps could not be met due to funding shortfalls.

This affected the much needed expansion of Kakuma camps in order to accomodate the growing number of new arrivals. Vehicles needed for the police force in the camps, as well as requirments for educational, vocational, and income generation activites, could not be be accomodated.

These tables place actual monetary value, to what can easily just be described as a large sum of money. Sometimes it's hard to realize just how large that sum is.
