The UNHCR is attemping to come up with solutions to try and combat the problems it has faced in implementing some of their already existing plans of action. It is working on strengthening the skills and resources of the appropriate national institutions to put law and priciples in practice. It is also assiting in the drafting and adoption of refugee legislation in order to speed up the procedures determining the status of refugees. Taking a step back, the UNHCR is also supporting the government in the improvement of security in the refugee camps.

Maintaining it's mission, the UNHCR, is continually seeking to seek all viable solutions to the Kenyan refugee problem, building for the future.
