Okay, so this is going to be my little experimental corner....the idea is it'll be whatever I'm in the mood for and I'm hoping it won't be dormantly sitting here but instead should be updated ever so often....or so i hope. My first attempt will be on KL since I'm missing it too too much and i also think its the coolest place for anyone to be in....nightlife is the best dude! okay, so i don't know when you'll actually see anything on KL since theres so much other stuff on this site that needs work on but let me leave you with some random pics of THE life in KL!

bukit bintang...outside planet hollywood, KL Plaza
can't remember whats under the tent...starbucks? anyone verify?
bukit bintang has a lot of trendy sidewalk cafes and such now..really lively but 'uppity' atmosphere:)

BANGSAR: bangsar is still one of the happening places when i went home...its probably THE nightspot in KL with row after row of pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants....haven't seen a place quite like it and I have to say the effort and creativity gone into creating an identity for each establishment is commendable. On friday and saturday nights, everyone seems to make it to bangsar..people are flowing onto the streets coz its so packed. Oh yes, saturday night is pasar malam! thats the night market where they close off one of the streets in bangsar. You've got sellers selling (duh!) all sorts of fruits, vegetables plastic wares, pirated VCDs, clothing, alarm clocks, yummy yummy food and drinks....you get the pic?! bangsar is a must if you ever make it to KL.

This is the pioneer of nightlife in Bangsar. it's so successful i've lost count of the number of branches it has now...i believe they even have one across the straits in s'pore(??). Away from the dance floor, you have to go upstairs to their restaurant and try their pasta......how i wish dining services would pay them a visit.
This is The Roof in Bangsar. Only been there once but its a neat place to chill, especially on the decks. Isn't it beautiful??
Chilis! I don't know what it was with this place but we'd always go here after school mostly MCKL days but we'd come here over the weekends elc days....we'd always be here during the day. its strawberry margueritas are the best and now they've even got a marguerita room or something...trisha says their chocolate banana smoothie is good too but i could never get myself to drink something with bananas like that but try it anyhow, i trust her taste ;-)
Very cosy and warm place for family and friends.

okay, enought procrastination. will work on this later. to follow: KL nightlife, mont kiara, random places, pasar malams, petaling street(!!), MAMAK STALLS!!!, bukit bintang,KLCC,.....alamak,must jalan jalan now, i know lar--i procrastinate too much.aiyoh, why am i always so like dat one ah??

okay okay i'm back (yah lar, yah lar) I just found this on the web. i think you have to have lived in malaysia to find it funny. here goes...( i couldn't stop laughing bout the toilet and driving:))

BRITISH : This is optional.

MALAYSIAN : "Put or no put, also can-lah".

BRITISH : Why do you behave like so ?

MALAYSIAN : "Why you so like that ?"

BRITISH : Yes, you can do it!

MALAYSIAN : "Can…lah !".

BRITISH : Are you sure of this ?

MALAYSIAN : "Sure or not ?"

BRITISH : Are you crazy ?

MALAYSIAN : "You crazy or what ?"

BRITISH : Hey, please reverse or back out the car a trifle bit more.

MALAYSIAN : "Hey, "gostan" some more, some more. (note : gostan = go astern, a shipping term)

BRITISH : What shall we eat ?

MALAYSIAN : "What to eat ?"

BRITISH : Excuse me, may I enter ?

MALAYSIAN : "Can enter or not ?"

BRITISH : Please excuse me, I’m off to the gents.

MALAYSIAN : "Toilet, toilet, ah (with finger wagging)."

BRITISH : Sorry I’m late. I was caught in a heavy traffic jam.

MALAYSIAN : "Traffic jam, lah."

BRITISH : Sorry, we are out of stock on this good.

MALAYSIAN : "No more anymore, lah."

okay maybe its just me but i'm having this idea that language kinda shapes the relationship you have with people? like manglish is just so relaxed and casual so when you talk to someone in 'manglish'/'singlish' theres just a different level of comfort. okay people here are going to hate me but i hate it when someone says 'hi!how are you?' that i guess is part of the culture here but when people say it, it is so annoyingly fake. i mean, when i was in kl and if i'd ask someone how they were, it was genuine you know what i mean. and i also wouldn't say it every freaking time i see someone. aiyah nevermind lar....23/03/01 23:42
P.S. talking about languages, i think it's so cute how trisha has this thing for the word 'man'--it follows at the end of  her sentences and its kinda sing-song....i just think its cute!

okay, i'm adding some links:
Manglish
dictionary of sorts
okay i've been wasting time but this is funny (if you know the language that is!)
