Stephen King is from New England
13 July 2005
Stephen King is from New England, makes perfect sense.
You know, there are cemetaries here everywhere.
But I have this morbid refusal to live death.
Although, I have a theory of immortality,
and days after my brother's death, I spoke to him.
Some would say it was a dream, but I'm not convinced.
Nor am I convinced it has to be dark and gray
in the winter and dark and gray in the summer.
Winter, summer, we only have the two seasons.
It doesn't need to be cold enough to freeze Hell
or hot as Hades almost all the friggin' time.
No, I won't accept mosquitoes and biting flies
as God's punishment for our original sin.
I do not think humanity was born in sin.
Good grief! The Red Sox won the World Series last year.
So lighten up, be a little optimistic,
maybe have a picnic in one of those graveyards,
and everytime it rains look for a rainbow.
This may not be the Garden of Eden, but Hell,
you're not hungry. You buried all your enemies,
burned all the witches, built roads to all the hill towns,
and after that, you even finished the Big Dig.
