Nancy Novogrod knows about travel. She is the queen of the carry-on and a savant when it comes to planning a jet-setting wardrobe. As the editor in chief of Travel + Leisure magazine, it is her job to tell readers where to go, how to get there, and what sights to see when they land.
Novogrod began her publishing career working in the fiction department of the New Yorker. Before becoming editor in chief of House and Garden magazine, she developed a series of lifestyle books for Clarkson Potter/Publishers.
In 1993, she took over as editor in chief of Travel + Leisure, a publication that has dramatically increased in popularity, quality, and influence since Novogrod came on board. In addition to heading the most widely read travel publication in the world, Novogrod is also responsible for the seven global editions of Travel + Leisure.
When she is not reading copy, approving layouts, or flying around the world for business meetings, Novogrod serves as a board member of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the New York Center for Children.
