Emily Bouvier '13 will be going to graduate school next fall for a Master's in Education - Intellectual Disability and Autism at Teacher's College at Columbia.

Congratulations to Bridget Grier '14 and Sean King '14 for receiving the WEED Summer Research Fellowship!

Sean King '14 will be conducting research on how gender roles were constructed and implemented within the Black Panther Party. This summer he will be examining police records in the Municipal court archives, copies of the Black Panther Newspaper and other local newspapers of the time as well as the FBI files on the Black Panthers of the Desire Housing Projects located at the Amistad Research Center and New Orleans Public Library. These key documents as well as interviews with former female members will help Sean uncover who held high positions and what women's general functions were within the party.

Laura Harris '14 and Ronteau Coppin '14 will be studying abroad this fall in Cape Town, South Africa at the University of Cape Town.
