The Choreography and Performance Concentration
Choreography and Performance teaches creative expression and studies how choreography is inspired and developed, investigating the tools of its craft in addition to immersion in technique classes, and artistic production. The dance student gains experience rehearsing and performing works of faculty and renowned visiting artist from the professional world of dance as well as choreographing and directing their student and senior concerts.
Kate Bailey '08: as a dance major, my interest in formulating my own Pilates-based movement series based on spirals later turned into my honors thesis.
Loren Robertson '06: At MHC, I majored in Dance and minored in Film, now I run a videography business in California.
Margaret (Mollie) Frederiksen '13: My history as a dancer combined with my interest in the human body and how it works drew me towards dance medicine.
