Christiane Koenig

Christiane is a French and Economics double major with a special focus on economic development. She was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. She studied abroad in Montpellier, France during the second semester of her junior year. After graduation Christiane will be studying in Sciences Po, Paris, where she will receive a Masters in International Development. She plans to work as a development specialist for the United Nations.

Sealia Thevenau

Sealia Thevenau

Sealia is an International Relations and French double major and has been the French Club President during her Senior year.  She was born in Ajaccio, Corsica and grew up in Mauritius until the year 2000 when she moved to the States with her mom and brother.  She spent her Junior year abroad in Montpellier, France.  After graduation she plans to take a gap year and travel all around the world 'on a shoestring' in search for the most delicious vegetarian food in every town she visits.  After her travels she hopes to follow a French Masters program in Comparative Politics and Public Policy at Montpellier I.

Sara Todd

Sara Todd

Sara Todd is from Maine, and is a double major in English and French here at Mt Holyoke. She has worked extensively with the student-run group Project: Theatre in her time here and loves to act. She studied abroad with the Mt Holyoke program in Montpellier, France, where she met some of her best friends (including her now suite-mates!) and ate truly amazing food. After graduation, she hopes to work in fundraising and event planning for non-profit companies.

Siobhan Marie Anderson

Siobhan Marie Anderson

Siobhan Marie Anderson is graduating this year with a double major in English and French literature. She spent her Junior Year Abroad at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, France. There she had an internship teaching English at the Wall St. Institute and also developed an interest in translation which has now resulted in a year long project concerning the translation of Belgian symbolist poet Emile Verhaeren's book, Les visages de la vie. She will be moving to Paris in September to work for l'Académie de Paris teaching English. 

Elisa Loeser

Elisa Loeser

Elisa is a French and Politics double major from Rye, New Hampshire. Her first year at Mount Holyoke, she received a summer internship from the McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives to work as a tour guide at Le Chateau de Chantilly in Chantilly, France. Junior year, Elisa studied abroad in Dakar, Senegal where she not only mastered her French, but also learned the native language, Wolof. Away from her studies, she loves to dance and sail. After graduation, Elisa plans to teach social sciences at the secondary level with Teach for America in Chicago.

Muoyo is an International Economic Development & French double major. She is from Lagos, Nigeria. She spent the fall semester of her junior year studying at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, France and the summer after her junior year interning at an NGO in Dakar, Senegal. After graduation, Muoyo is planning to move to Boston.

Hope Mbabazi

Hope Mbabazi is a French and Economics double major. She is from Uganda and speaks over 6 languages.  She spent her junior year abroad in Montpellier, France, the city where the sun never sets, a thrilling experience that made her fall in love with French cuisine! Hope is very passionate about languages, dance, and traveling. During her 2010 summer, she interned with two companies: Veris Wealth Partners, a social investment firm in Portsmouth NH, and Root Capital, a micro-lending firm in Boston focused on emerging markets.  At Root Capital, Hope put her French to use coordinating research on a biofuel project based in Mali.  She got a job in Boston with the oldest and largest private bank in the United States, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. She hopes to return to France at some point to further explore the culture and the language she deeply loves.

Sarah Obuobi

Sarah Obuobi

Sarah Ofo Obuobi is a studio Art and French double major at MHC. She grew up in Ghana with a keen interest in learning a second language and started studying French since 6th grade in elementary school. During the fall of her junior year, Ofo studied abroad in Montpellier. After graduating from Mount Holyoke, Ofo will pursue a master's degree in Communications or Communications Design in Paris or London. She hopes to continue exposing herself to, and adopting her French language skills and creative prowess in building her future career plans in starting a career in Advertizing. Ofo also intends to freelance as a Graphic Designer while she is pursuing her master's degree. Her art portfolio can be viewed on her blog.
