The Medieval Studies Major
For this interdisciplinary major, students work with their advisor or the program chair to plan a course of study that includes courses in medieval studies as well as related courses in art, history, languages, literature, music, and religion. Majors are expected to study medieval language or literature in English, French, Italian, Latin, or Spanish and are also advised to acquire proficiency in a modern language sufficient to use foreign language sources in advanced courses.
The major requires a minimum of 40 credits, including advanced course work in at least two disciplines.
The Medieval Studies Minor
A minimum of 16 credits is required for the minor in medieval studies.
