Mount Holyoke Glee Club and Chamber Singers perform at ACDA
Thursday, February 11th, 9-9:30 am and 4:15-4:45 pm

The Mount Holyoke Glee Club & Chamber Singers was selected to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Eastern Division Conference. They will perform their half-hour set twice for 800 music educators and professionals.

Chorale Spring Concert: Aglepta

Join the Mount Holyoke Chorale for an afternoon of really old works juxtaposed against really new (weird) works. Featured pieces by Hildegaard, Felix Mendelssohn, and Nicola Porpora alongside Philip Glass, Arne Mellnas, and a world premiere by Mount Holyoke's own Peter Jones. Special guest performances by the Mount Holyoke Chamber Singers and the Amherst College Glee Club (Mallorie Chernin, conductor). 

Women's Choral Festival at Syracuse University

The Mount Holyoke Chorale, alongside the SU Women's Choir, will represent collegiate ensembles at an annual Women's Choral Festival at Syracuse University. The concert will also feature performances by Cazenovia High School (Cazenovia, NY), Penfield High School (Rochester, NY), and the Soharmoniums (New York, NY). The concert will culminate in a collaborative performance of classic works for women's choir by Mendelssohn, Porpora, Faure, and Dilworth, conducted by Vance George, conductor of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus.

The Mount Holyoke College Glee Club welcomes the Cornell Glee Club for a collaborative choral performance. Each choir will perform an individual set, culminating in a combined performance of the 20th century a cappella masterwork, Mass for Double Choir by Frank Martin.
