I believe that, if I had to express my research interests briefly, it would be that they include the exploration of alternative methods of communicating with the outside world for people with temporary or permanent disabilities. My interests in psychology revolve around the theme of communication (the factors that it includes and how people develop their communication method and style). I have research interests in PTSD, autism, developmental delays in children, cognitive functions related to reading and reading disabilities, sibling relationships (especially in regard to divorce and autism), effect of divorce on children of all ages, and dance therapy (its use in PTSD, autistic children and siblings, and children with developmental delays).
I am currently researching Adult Basic Education in regards to adults learning how to read under the guidance of Kathy Binder.
