The Educational Studies Minor
The minor in educational studies offers students the opportunity to conduct a cross-disciplinary exploration of an education-related topic. It requires a minimum of 18 credits, culminating in Educational Studies 290, a 2-credit course for which students work with a faculty advisor as they write and present a capstone paper.
Students wishing to minor in educational studies should consult with a member of the Educational Studies Committee to design a course of study. A brief proposal and list of intended courses must be approved by the program chair.
The minor in educational studies does not lead to teacher licensure. For more information on licensure, see the Educational Studies chapter of the course catalogue.
