Award Opportunities

Fellowships and Funding

There are a number of funded opportunities for travel and language learning available to Russian and Eurasian Studies majors and minors who are strong candidates for the national fellowships listed below.

Critical Language Scholarship

  • for 8 weeks of Russian study in Nizhny Novgorod or Vladimir, Russia (US citizens only).

Fulbright US Student Program

Boren (National Security Education Program)

  • partially funds one semester or a full year of study abroad while an enrolled undergraduate with a one-year government service job post-graduation (US citizens only).

Carnegie Junior Fellows Award

  • for one year paid as a junior researcher at Carnegie Endowment in the Russia/Eurasia Program (all citizenships welcome)
