Here is a workshop and event schedule for your class.  Included are all important dates for the semester along with the events.  Start your semester out right with good planning and time management strategies!

Sophomore Re-Orientation Night
Monday, Sept. 1, 2014 | 6:30pm - 9:00pm Chapin

Sophomores will be welcomed back to campus with a special re-orientation evening of their own.  "Re-O" will include inspiring presentations from young alumns, Res Life, and Deans,as well important sophomore year information about managing majors, curriculum to career decisions, and making the most of the year ahead.  

Academic Fair - a chance to explore new academic interests by meeting faculty from the MHC academic departments.  All departments will be represented, so this is a great way to have your questions answered!

Tuesday, September 2nd 10:00-11:00am in Chapin Auditorium (drop-in style)

So. Much. Reading.  How do I do this? A workshop aimed at sharing strategies for getting through large amounts of reading.

Friday, October 3rd 3:00-5:00, Chapin Auditorium.  Drop in any time even if you have an afternoon class!

Planning for Long-term Papers/Projects, a hands-on workshop for creating a solid plan for your upcoming projects.  Please bring assignment information, so you can leave with a plan.

LEAP Symposium—come hear about the exciting ways students spent their past summers and get ideas for your upcoming summers! 

Friday, October 17th in Kendade

Finishing Strong! A hands-on workshop aimed at helping you create a plan to get through the last few weeks of the semester.  Bring your assignment and deadline information including exam information.

Wednesday, December 3rd 12:15-1:00, Kendade 305 (Bring lunch!  Food is available in Kendade Atrium)

Department Teas are held within academic departments to assist students in selecting their major.  The office of Academic Deans comiles a list every spring and makes it available to Sophomores in time to declare a major.
