Dean of Studies

Leah B. Glasser supports and oversees the Class Advisors and the National Fellowships Office in advising students as they navigate their academic experience at Mount Holyoke.  Leah Glasser focuses on enhancing academic advising and creating access for all students to a range of enriching opportunities. She works closely with the Registrar and other offices on campus to implement academic policies set by faculty and to support the educational mission of the college. Interim Senior Class Dean

Sarah Adelman focuses on offering additional academic guidance to seniors as they progress toward graduation and shape their goals for the future; she also supports faculty advisors and department chairs in their work with seniors.

Class Advisor for Sophomores and Juniors

Kim Parent supports the academic progress of students in the sophomore and junior classes by meeting individually with students in need of guidance or assistance.  She works closely with the senior administrative assistants to provide programming in line with the needs of the students.  Kim also serves as a member of the Academic Administrative Board.  She has been working with MHC students since 2006 through various positions on campus.

Class Advisor for First-Year Students

Sara London provides academic and transitional guidance to new students in their first-year at the College.  In this role, Sara also oversees the pre-major advisor assignment for first-year students, and serves as a member of the Academic Administrative Board.

National Fellowships Advisor

Christine Overstreet recruits MHC students and alumnae to apply for national fellowship competitions such as the Fulbright, Marshall, Rhodes, Churchill, and many others. She advises candidates on determining how these opportunities may help them achieve their academic and personal goals, and supports them as they prepare their applications. She facilitates the internal endorsement process of several fellowship committees made up of members of the faculty and chaired by the Dean of Studies.

Senior Administrative Assistant

Kat Eldred supports the Class Advisors and the Dean of Studies.   She processes academic and non-academic leaves, readmission and withdrawal applications and is currently supporting the Twelve College Exchange Program.  Additionally, Kat supports the Dean of Studies in issues related to special majors, language exemptions and credit overloads.

Senior Administrative Assistant

Marianne Taylor supports the Class Advisors and the Dean of Studies and serves as the assistant to the National Fellowships Advisor, working closely with student fellowship applications.  Additionally, Marianne will be providing administrative support to the Academic Honor Board.
