Amber Douglas

Professor of Psychology and Education; Dean of Studies; Director of Student Success Initiatives

Amber Douglas is a licensed clinical psychologist. She teaches courses related to psychological distress, mental health, trauma, resilience and research methods. Her work lies at the intersection of social psychology and clinical psychology, specifically the interactions between social contexts and individual differences. She examines the impact of traumatic stress on cognitive processes, interpersonal health, and mental health in her work. In addition, Douglas investigates how race and other aspects of identity intersect with one’s appraisal and experience of stress, trauma and psychological well-being. Most recently, her work examines the role of psychological distress and resilience in academic contexts.

Briana Chace

Administrative Assistant, Office of Student Success and Advising; Assisting with note-taking for AccessAbility Services

Briana Chace '17 works with the Office of Student Success and Advising and supports the Dean of Studies and Academic Deans as well as the Fellowships Advisor. She is the point of contact for documents concerning the Academic Advising Board and the Academic Honor Board.

Emily Dean

Technology Access Coordinator

Emily brings nearly 15 years of experience working in the disability services field. In her current role as the Technology Access Coordinator, she assesses and supports student’s assistive technology needs on campus, coordinates alternative format accommodations, supports faculty in creating accessible course materials, and manages the Assistive Technology lab. She sits on a number of campus committees including the Software Cross-functional Task Force, the Computer Image Group, and the Technology Access Committee.  Emily chairs the Accessible Documents and Media subcommittee, and represents Mount Holyoke on the Five College Technology Access Committee.

Aaron Ferguson

Senior Accommodation Coordinator

Aaron brings over 18 years of experience in accessibility services, academic advising, and academic success coaching to Mount Holyoke. Aaron's research has focused on Universal Design, integral student development, and trauma informed practices. Aaron focuses on the intersection of student, faculty and institutional needs to foster an accessible campus, curriculum, and community. He loves to be outside enjoying nature and is passionate about helping others increase their capacity to be their best selves!

C. Ross

Accessibility Coordinator

Ross, they/them/theirs pronouns, is the Accessibility Coordinator for AccessAbility Services. They graduated from Hampshire College with a B.A. that focused on philosophies and design methods of education, work, and community. Ross aims to help all Mount Holyoke students equitably learn, engage, and thrive throughout their time at the College. Their work with student accessibility is rooted in transparency, student autonomy, valuing student experience and voice, and honoring small moments as genuine connections.

Accommodation Coordinator

Zemora Tevah is thrilled to be joining the Mount Holyoke community, bringing their experiences working in higher education as well as their background as a high school teacher, to the AccessAbility Services team. In every educational setting, Zemora is passionate about advocating for student needs, supporting students in their educational journeys, and making sure that everyone has access to a high quality education.
