Programs and Services

ADAP provides the following services to students impacted by substance use:

  • Brief Screenings and Interventions

  • Substance Use Assessments

  • Harm Reduction Strategies

  • Recovery Counseling

  • Family and Friends Support

Services are also provided to students referred by the Office of Residential Life, the Dean of Students or the Athletic Department, who have violated the Mount Holyoke College or Athletic Department Alcohol and Other Drug Policies.  These appointments are opportunities for students to discuss the incident of concern, explore their readiness for change, discuss harm reduction strategies and receive substance use resource information, assessment and feedback.  The appointments may comprise 3-6 counseling sessions with an ADAP clinician or a two-hour educational class with the Health Educator, depending on the nature and extent of the policy violation.

ADAP provides the following services to students, staff and faculty:

  • Educational Programs and Resources

ADAP sponsors a wide range of workshops and trainings for students, staff and faculty; campus-wide events, such as speakers, panel presentations and theater performances; and the development and distribution of current print and web-based materials. Educational materials include books, periodicals CD’s, Apps and pamphlets.
