Dominique Mortimer

Harriet Newhall Fellow

Dominique Mortimer, class of 2015, is a Politics major and Sociology minor at Mount Holyoke. She is one of our POSSE Scholars and is involved in the Mount Holyoke College Democrats and the Association of Pan-African Unity and works as the Chair of the Black Caucus of the College Democrats of Massachusetts and Student Liaison for the Politics Department.  Her Politics major led her to an internship for Representative Cedric Richmond, a democrat from Louisiana, in the fall of 2013 and inspired her love for political dramas (Scandal, the Good Wife, the West Wing). Dominique mentioned, “I love the moment when the passion that every Mount Holyoke student has for every subject under the sun collides with the sincere intent of the professors to assist us in being our best!” After graduating from Mount Holyoke, Dominique plans to attend law school.
