Javaria Khan, class of 2015, designed her own special major titled Journalism, Communications and Film Studies in which she mixes and matches courses from the journalism, business and film departments and is often found on the other four campuses within the 5 College Consortium. Since sophomore year, Javaria has been an active member of the Mount Holyoke College community, serving as a Community Advisor and then Senior Community Advisor for the Office of Residential Life and President of the Pakistani student organization, Kuch Karo. Her favorite place on campus is Skinner Green during fall and spring and Blanchard Campus Center during winter. She interned in Washington D.C during the summer of 2013 with the Communications Department of the American Institute of Architects, and fell deeply in love with the city. She aspires to live and work there after graduation and wants to start graduate school as soon as possible, preferably at Johns Hopkins University.
