Ajapa Sharma, Class of 2013 is a Sociology major and an Asian Studies minor who was an exchange student last year at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. Ajapa is currently working on an independent project on the history of Nepali ethnic sub-nationalism in Darjeeling, India, where she is looking into issues of language and culture, identity formation among minority groups, citizenship and post-colonialism in South Asia. On campus Ajapa is a member of the Beyond Tolerance Project, the Co-Chair of the Nepali Student Organization, and the Co-Chair for Sisters of Hinduism Reaching Inwards (SHRI). Ajapa also enjoys reading, blogging, looking up everything and anything on Google, and good conversations with friends over a nice cup of chai.
