The Attraction

Coming from a country that practices a very linear educational system, I was fascinated by Mount Holyoke’s holistic approach. I wanted to be a part of an institution where I would not only be encouraged to explore different fields, but be expected to do so.

Applying Early Decision

I had a list of things I wanted from my college experience, and these included academic rigor, diversity, and a great classroom environment. I knew I would get them here at Mount Holyoke, so I didn’t have any apprehension about applying early.

Getting the News

I was absolutely ecstatic when I learned I had been accepted to Mount Holyoke. It also meant that I wouldn't have to stress over more college applications, as so many of my friends were doing. Still, you could say I took a leap of faith. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

The Right Choice

I have been challenged here and, because of that, I have grown. I have taken classes in so many different fields, had ample opportunities both on and off campus to tie my curriculum to my career interests, and I have friends from all different parts of the world.

Advice

Do your research. Make a list of all the things you want to get out of your college experience. Take a tour. Do an overnight stay. If you realize that Mount Holyoke is the place for you, apply early!
