Emma Ross

Admission Tour Guide

Emma Ross, class of 2015, is a Politics major and a Law, Public Policy and Human Rights Nexus minor, who loves Mount Holyoke because “each student adds something to the community to make it more vibrant, interesting, impressive, and diverse.” In the classroom, Emma’s favorite professors are Joan Cocks and Chris Pyle, and she recommends that prospective students plan to take Vinnie Ferraro’s World Politics course. The skills she has honed as a member of Mount Holyoke’s Debate Society have served her well as an Organizing for America Fellow with the Obama campaign in 2012 and, more recently, as a volunteer with the nonprofit organization Fed Up! End Human Rights Abuses. When she’s not debating, studying, or promoting a cause, you might find Emma hanging out with friends or at taking in the scenery at her favorite spot on campus, the Heckel Staircase Garden.
