Frankline Mardi, class of 2017, is a History major and Education minor. In addition to interviewing prospective students she also works various jobs around campus including at the Fitness Center and AccessAbility Services. Frankline has been involved in many organizations on campus that have helped build her leadership skills. She was the Community Service Coordinator for Newman Board and later became the president of the organization. She also worked as the Public Relations Coordinator for Hope of Haiti, a nonprofit on campus. What she enjoys most is her work through the Community Based Learning Program, which has provided her with the opportunity of working with adult learners and high school students in the Pioneer Valley. As a senior, Frankline is focusing on her role as a mentor through Mount Holyoke's chapter of Students With Ambition Go To College (SWAG). With SWAG, Frankline has weekly check-ins with her mentee and reads college and scholarship essays for other high school students. After Mount Holyoke, Frankline hopes to dive straight into teaching or community development work. She is incredibly grateful to the supportive and empowering community at Mount Holyoke that has enabled her to grow and see herself as a leader.
