Jelena Jezdimirovic, Class of 2015 is planning to double major in Critical Social Thought and Economics. She is involved with the Beyond Tolerance Project, and also works as a Research Assistant for Professor Holly Hanson. She is currently assisting her with her book on Kampala by looking into how electricity got introduced in Uganda. Jelena also spends time in Mount Holyoke’s Archives and Special Collections researching the history of international students at the College. When talking about Mount Holyoke, Jelena says “it is academically rigorous and challenging, but not pretentious and elitist. The atmosphere of academic honesty and curiosity without arrogance allows for true love of learning to show.”
