Harriet Newhall Fellow
Leigh Edwards, class of 2014, complements her English major with a Nexus minor in Global Business. She is most drawn to the “wonderful sense of community” at Mount Holyoke. In addition to interacting with prospective students as a Harriet Newhall Fellow, Leigh participates in the college’s chapter of the Roosevelt Institute and is a member of both the Orientation Board and the Common Read Committee. When not engaged in her many academic or co-curricular pursuits, Leigh likes to watch documentaries, attend local shows, or simply grab dinner with friends. Ultimately, Leigh sees the skills she’d developing at Mount Holyoke lending themselves to a career advocating for women, children and the cause of minority education.
