Sarah Watkins, class of 2015, is a History and Geography double major who loves that Mount Holyoke “helps to build confidence by supporting each student’s individual strengths.” Sarah and the rest of her varsity Field Hockey teammates had an outstanding 2013 season, marked by an 18-3 record and an impressive bid for the NCAA title. In previous semesters, Sarah has worked with the Mount Holyoke Art Museum teaching local elementary school children about art and studied abroad through Hampshire College's January-Term program which took her to Galway, Ireland for two weeks to study the history of agriculture. When not in the classroom, on the playing field, or in the Williston Library’s popular octagon room – her favorite spot on campus – Sarah sings with Mount Holyoke’s Vocal Jazz group and co-chairs the Outing Club, planning and “leading awesome hiking trips” around thePioneer Valley.
